A 30 year old woman's experience that is trying to conceive with blocked fallopian tubes
5/22/13
I'm Alexis and I have been diagnosed with blocked fallopian tubes from endometriosis quite some time ago. I always wanted to become a mom so learning such news obviously broke my heart. At the time I was diagnosed, I was in a really bad relationship for several years so I accepted the news rather quickly, since I would never want to have a baby with the man I was with. Well needless to say, my ex and I broke up. I am now in a wonderful relationship with an amazing man; the problem is we both want children. This has required me to examine something I had previously closed the door on. I am now 30 years old and wish I would've gotten a jump start on this sooner, but what can you do, its not like you can change the past. I started this blog to document my journey of trying to conceive.
The doctors said I will have to do in vitro fertilization if I want to have a baby. I have been doing a lot of research online about alternative and natural options. I will be honest, I am a bit skeptical; you see I am a nurse and in my training I have always learned once your tubes are blocked it's extremely difficult if not impossible to conceive naturally. The problem with having that skeptical view is that it completely contradicts some of the testimonials I have been reading online. I figure I will spend some time now trying the natural options (since we are currently not ready for IVF), and see what happens. I will be trying economically reasonable treatments; I do not want to go into debt over these trials (I'd rather put money away for IVF just in case)! I will keep a detailed journal of my experiences, including what has or hasn't worked for me.
Last night I started castor oil packs placed on my abdomen at night with a heat pad. Wow, kinda messy! And really difficult to keep my two cats away from the oil; but rather relaxing! I will also start abdominal fertility massage in the next few days. I am not going to a trained specialist nor have I bought the DVD yet but I will start with doing what I have seen on some of the online tutorials. I also ordered Serrapeptase and natokinase online last night along with some herbal teas; Yi Mu Cao (Leonurus) and Xi Xian Cao (Siegesbeckia). Here's to hoping right?!?!?
Well keep your fingers crossed and I will keep you posted!
